Admittedly, I took my last entry down a dark road.  My illness led my mind to dwell upon my brother’s fate, and to finally put my suspicions in words.  I will continue to try to solve his mystery, and I will hone my skills so that I will be better able to complete my mission.  I will jump higher, run faster, sniff widely, and put together the pieces of this intricate puzzle as I find them.

Ears back, back legs flying, racing my shadow…

…and here I am, leaping from the water like a fierce sea monster, surging forward from the waves–mighty and powerful!

In the meantime, things are looking up.  I have a new bed, with sides, to replace  the one that was thrown away during my illness.  It has sides!

I also got this giant bone!  I’m sharpening my teeth and working on my chewing.  I am taking charge of my own destiny!

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
